Classical Concerts in Orange County

Classical Music Encounters of Orange County (CMEOC) is a non-profit 501(c) organization dedicated to supporting classical musicians and bringing classical music to local audiences. Founded and managed by music lovers, CMEOC has been promoting and organizing small-scale concerts in Orange County since 2001.

Recognizing the need for a forum for classical chamber musicians to display their skills, and for audiences to enjoy recitals in an intimate environment, CMEOC aims to create a memorable music experiences. The concerts hearken back to the days of Sunday afternoon concerts and small recitals of Europe, with an emphasis on bringing audiences 'up-close and personal' with musicians. In the reception following each concert, musicians are available to answer questions or for general discussion.

Concerts are held monthly or semimonthly, venue and schedule permitting. All proceeds benefit performers, and fundraisers are usually held once or twice per year. CMEOC recognizes the importance that classical music encounters have in the development of young people, and offers free admission for one child, up to 13 years of age, with each paying adult.
